Today we went to Gettysburg and I learned about the women there. There were many women who helped out in the civil war including Elizebeth Thorn. She was 6 months pregnant and she dug 91 graves for the men. There were also other women who helped nurse the wounded soldiers back to their original health, but they didn't get any credit for their work.

The fact that women didn't get credit is very disrespectful. They worked as hard as the men after the war (not as much during it, neccesarily), but they still deserve credit.
