Today at Gettysburg, I learned a lot about things I didn't know. When we were at Cemetery Hill, there was a memorial for the fourth brigade of Ohio. The Ohioans were called in to help defend the hill when the South broke through the Union defense. I didn't know that Ohio had a special part in helping defend Cemetery Hill. I was also surprised at how many unknown soldiers there were in the Gettysburg National Cemetery. I feel sorry for the families that kept on waiting for their children to come home.

That is sad, thinking about the families that learned their husbands or kids were killed. Even worse, the people who buried the soldiers didn't even know them! That's totally sad and I'd hate to be one of them.
