Washington DC and Gettysburg
The first eighth grade class trip to Washington DC took place in May of 2000. Students begin their trip with an educational tour of the great American Civil War battlefield in Gettysburg Pennsylvania. The trip continues the next day with a visit to the Arlington National Cemetery where students participate in laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
The class spends the remainder of the two days visiting the museums, the archives and the monuments of the capital city of our great country.
