Today at Gettysburg I learned about many women that were involved in the Civil War that were not given very much credit. One woman in particular was Elizabeth Thorn, she was the wife of one of the gate keepers. She was 6 months pregnant and she dug 91 graves, all by her self! That is pretty impressive! Another part of today that I liked was the rubbings on the graves stones. I did a rubbing on Balts Beverly.

I can't wait to do one of the rubbings on the stones, that sounds really interesting. Elizabeth Thorn sounds like a real hero, but I heard she didn't get much credit for what she did.
