We went to Gettysburg today. We had a nice tour guide named Paul. The first thing he told us is that Lee told the Confederate soldiers that they should be nice to the civilians and to pay for as much supplies as they could. Our tour guide told us that Jenny Wade was the only civilian that was killed in the battle of Gettysburg. A bullet went through two doors and entered her back. Jenny's corsett trapped the bullet. We also got to go to Little Round Top. There were a lot of monuments dedicated to the states regements. We got to see Ohio's momunment that was located on Cemetery Ridge. We had a lot of fun.

That's really weird how Lee told the Confederates to be nice to civilians, but it makes sense, as a form of respect. I feel sorry for Jenny Wade, especially how the bullet got trapped on her corsett. D.C. sounds really fun.
